FRIDAY. NOVEMBER 4. 1960 Delta Sigma Phi For IM Football By 808 DEAN Delta Sigma Phi stopped Sigma Chi' in overtime last night to qualify for the IM football play offs which begin Wednesday. Delta Sigma Phi and Sigma Chi were tied, 1-1, in firstdowns at the end of regulation play, but Delta ,Sig drove 15 yards into Sigma Chi territory for the win. Two independent league cham pionships also were. decided last night. Cedar, which hadn't given up a point in three previous games, preserved its perfect rec ord with a 14-9 victory over Locust. Bill Clark passed for the two Cedar touchdowns, while Tom Pugh's hard rushing resulted in a safety. . | Unbeaten Poplar rounded out 1 its league play with a 3-1 first! down win over Chestnut. j Phi Sigma Delta also won on first downs, 3-1, over Alpha Tau Omega. Birch scored a first period TD on a pass from Chuck Caffareli to Harold Stein and then held on to stop Larch 7-6.
