Bowen is in charge of the electric light plant of Wellsboro, Pa. '96. Mr, R. A. Klock has a position with the Niagara Electric Co., Niagara Falls, N. Y. '9o. Mr. W. B. Jackson is manager of the Peninsular Light, Power and Heat Co., 525 Mich. Trust Building, Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Thanksgiving Hop was a most enjoyable event for the small number who were so fortunate as to be present. Many of the college students who usually attend dances were conspicuous by their absence, but quite a number of young people came from Bellefonte, Altoona and Clearfield. The music furnished by Stopper and Fisk,' of Williamsport, was of the highest order, and this, together with the fine condition of the armory floor, con tributed largely to the enjoyment of the dancers. At the annual meeting of the foot ball team, which took place at Harrisburg November 21, J. M. Curtin, '9B, of Bellefonte, was unanimously elected captain for the coming season. Curtin has played a fine game at left end for two years; at the latter end of this season he showed up so well at left half that he will probably play in that position next fall, unless a better man is found. Capt. Curtin is a good ground gainer and a sure tackler, and weighs 165 pounds. Great things are expected of " Mac " in his new capacity. .1' A E held a reception at its chapter house on the Saturday evening of Thanksgiving vacation. If .1' gave a supper and dance at its chapter house on Saturday evening, December 5, 1896. The lecture by Col. Geo. Nox McCain on " Venezuela and the Orinoco River," was one of the most entertainingly instructive and altogether most enjoyable entertainments of the college year.
