Stevens, of Tyrone, who died several days ago, in corporates a number of unusual pro visos In his will. He bequeathed $15,- 000 to his grandson, George Black Stev ens. Tyrone, to be paid over after the heir reaches 25 years, "provided he shall during Ills lifetime abstain from the use of intoxicating liquors in any form and from gambling for stakes of any kind; but I do not mean from this that he shall abstain from social games for pleasure." He also willed $40,000 jointly to two other grandsons, A. A. Stevens and M. L. Stevens, children of another son, under precisely the same conditions. Mr. Stevens was an uncompromising foe of the liquor traffic. He bequeath ed $5,000 to W. F. Crafts, in trust, for assisting in paying for or improving the building in Washington, D. C.
