Qrinl " \ FREIGHT INCREASE DUE TyOAL RUSH Records to Date Indicate Busy Month; Heavy Business on Middle Division The rush of coal to storage yards, Including Harrlsburg and Enola, is bringing a big Increase In freight i movement on the Pennsylvania rail road. The car movement over the Middle division has been quite heavy for August. The movement for fourteen days of August as noted at eight observation points waa 858,745 cars, an Increase ol 18,864 cars over the same period of 1914. The dally average movement tor the first week Increased 757 cars, or 8.2 per cent., and for the second week It Increased 2,088 cars, or 8.7 per cent., making the average dally Increase for the fourteen days 1,419 cars, or 6 per cent. The movement past Ijewlstown Junction was 47,772 cars, an Increase of 3,041 cars. The dally average was 5,437 cars, while the total movement on August 14 was 6,023 card. Indicating a greater movement toward the end of the perlod.- P. R. R. Stockholders Reach New Record Total The number of Pennsylvania Rail road stockholders on July 31 was 68,786, a record total. In Pennsyl vania there were 32,924 stockholders, In New York 16,976, In New England 16,861, In foreign countries 11,900 and scattering 16,625. At the close of July, 1915, there were 78 more foreign hold ors than on July 31, 1914. The total number of stockholders In that period Increased 8,427. The number of women stockholders on July 31, 1915, was 45,254, which was equal to 48.25 per cent, of the total number.
