CITY. BULLETIN. Tits Pitti,Ann.rniA Linnattr.—The .Phila delphia Library Company hair perchased a site for a net* building, n accordance with the purpose which has long been entertained 1:0f removing the Library to a mote western location. The lot purchased is ou the northwest corner of Locust and Juniper streets, opposite to the Episcopal Academy, measuring 110 feet on the Locust street front, with a depth of 240 feet on Juniper street, including the properties of the Rutherford and Li vezey estates. There is a ten-foot alley onithe west of the Property, thus giving three fronts to the new building. The location is a most desirable fine, central and yet quiet, and the property is abundantly large for the_ erection of such a building as this valtiable Library requires. It has been purchased for the sum of $75,000, and with the- full--approbation of the -executor of the Rush bequest. *The building of the new Library on. Locust street has, of course, no beating upon the question of the ." Ridgway Branch" on Broad street. It is not the intention of the Library Com pany to erect the new building immediately. The Building Fund does not yet warrant the commencement of building operations, nor is it likely that they will be begun until the Company has some - immediate prospect of selling its old prOpetty. The purchase has been made to secure a desirable property, and :ava investment of the Building Fund. The lot is at present occupied by small dwell ing-houses.
