'Erased; la Bradford! County, FFrem the Towanda (Bradford County) Beporter.] On Tuesday, one .of the most distressing •ocurrences we have, ever been called upon *?° k Pl* ce W Sheshequia town ship, The facts, as, we have received them from reliable persons, are as follo wsln the forenoon of that day, Mr. John Kingsland, a respectable farmer, residlng in the upper P® r t of the Valley, came into his house from *" e •“eld, and commenced changing his olotbes. The servant'girl heard some words pass between Mr. K. and his wife, when;the latter rushed from • the room, pursued by her husband, who was evidently bent upon inflicting personal violence upon her. The girl, alarmed, hurried out of the house, and cried for assistance. Meanwhile Kingsland had caught his wife, knocked her down; and was stamping upon her head with his feet, when her mother, an aged woman, entered the room and pushed him off the prostrate body. He endeavored to re-commence his brutal work, bntthe mother successfully re sisted his efforts and he left the house. From bis house he went to Wm. Snyder’s, a distance of two miles, where his son, a young man, was at work, and after a few words, pulled out a revolver, firing twioe at him, happily without effect. Kingsland was immediately arrested, taken to Athens, and after an examination, committed to the jail of the county to await his trial. Mrs. Kingsland was terribly bruised about the head, and lingered, insensible, until Monday morning, when death put an end to her sufferings. A.post mortem examina tion disclosed the fact that her skuli was crushed in several places. She was aged about 48 years, and leaves three children to mourn her loss, aggravated by the unfortu nate manner of her death. Kingsland is a respectable farmer, in comfortable circumstances, and but for oc casional paroxysms of passion, a temperate and well disposed man. Some difficulty which had occurred in the family, seems to have aroused all his evil passions, and, in a moment of ungovernable fury, led him to the commission of a crime too shocking to contemplate, and whioh plunges a luge circle of relatives in the deepest affliction. These wheels are designed for Pianos, Bedsteads. Ac. we claim that they give to Pianos a greatly increased force of sound, without detracting from the harmony and. melody of the instrument, rendering every note more distinct to the ear. Tills is so apparent they are now being applied by many to these valuable mu sical instruments. Dr. v&lenttneMoct.prevlouatohls death, pronounced the Glass castor wheels an in valuable Invention for bedfrat invalids, who are guarded against the damp doors after undergoing the )focess of cleaning, or where dampness is produced frtm any other cause. Aside from this. Housekeeper! are relieved from the dread of having their carpetacul or torn, as frequently happens from those now In use, often caused by a rust, which adheres with glue-like tenacity. No such annoyance can possibly proceed from the Glass Castor wheels, as we all know jlaas is non-corrosive. There are no rough or unfin shed edges to the Glass Wheels, such as we often find in those of iron, and the latter, though smoothly fin ished, will soon rust, from the dampness of the atmos phere, if nothing else, producing roughness on thesur :ace, or edge, while tbe former will always maintain the smoothness of glass, Just as they are finished. By sleeping upon glass wheels you retain all theeleo tricity yen had in your body on retiring, and you get up in the morning feeling as fresh and active as s young man. Glass being a non-conductor, the elec tricity gained while in bea cannot pass off. Ask your doctor what he thinks of the Glass Caster Wheels Ask him if all diseases, with the exception of chronic diseases, are not caused from tbe want of electricity We have a man in our place whom the doctors pro nounced past curing, with the inflammatory rhea realism. The wheels cored him in less than foa? weeks. He Is to-day a stout healthy man T These art frets which can be proven on application at our office No. 203 Race street, Philadelphia, or at our Factory ,at Westville, New Jersey, where we have some sixt; hands employed in the manu&cturerof the Glass Cas tor Wheels. tlw will be paid to any one who will say they havt not received any benefit or relief after naing Capeweß * Co.’s Patent Glass Castors.
