Our con nections with Paris and Brussels are direct. We show en our counters and in our cases the same goods that are used by Werth, Pingat and Hentenaar in trimming the charming models of mantles and costumes that we get from them. Laces are the fashionable trimmings this season in the best workrooms. The old Chantillyand Spanish Laces are still sought for.theugh the Matelasse Spanish is newer ; Escurial is newer still, and the Vandyke is the newest of all. Brussels Point in cream and antique yellow shade, as though it had already been worn by the ancients. It is wonderful that lace machines should produce copies of such costly laces and that art should age them as seen as they are born. It is difficult for some people te step out of the beaten tracks, but a single call at the lace counter will settle where laces can be wisely bought. Neck Runnings and Ruchings are new in stock in wonderful profusion. Our up-stairs factories save several profits, of which our cus temers have the benefit. When ever Ave run out of a style and have te buy it from ether mak ers we are compelled te charge higher, se that we knew that our own make of Ruchings is always cheaper. Embroidered Linen Cellars are near the Lace Department. We keep up the steady stream of these Goods from the foreign houses and have all the sizes new in stock.
