Dr. .Marshal!, about sis mouths age, was released from the penitentiary, where he had served a term of four years for being implicated in an abortion which be came a notorious case. Seme time in the early part of January he wrete te Dr. Hamilton Gnftin, Miss Andersen's step father, saying that he had iu his posses sion seme letters written by Miss Ander Ander eon, which greatly compromised her. As he did net doubt that their publication would infure Miss Andersen in her profes sion and iu her private life, he presumed Dr. Griffin would like te get possession of tiicm.
