Cincinnati, May 13.—Under ordinary cir cumstances; having hoard that a battle com menced on Monday, with no particulars to this time, wo would infer that there was no thing good to send. The correspondent of the Chicago Journal, nt Nashville, the Bth, says that Dalton had been evacuated; that Johnston had but thir ty tliousand men, and did not intend to make a stand. Tho Chattanooga correspondent of the Cincinnati Gazette estimates Johnston’s original force at thirty-five thousand. To this he thinks Polk's Corps of twenty thousand has been added; also ten thousand from Charleston and other points South. If these estimates arc correct, General Sherman, with tho advantage of position against him, car not be expected to gain an easy victory. Occupation of Dalton, Georgia, Cincinnati, May 13.—General Johnston eradiated Dalton, Georgia, last night, and oar lorccs now occupy tho place. The Militia of New Jersey Called Out. Trenton, N.
