Each year, organizers try to add new events and activities to the fair and this year is no exception. The pie contest will now be moved from Saturday to Mon day, July 7. This means all en tries have to be entered on Sun day from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The judging will take place on Mon day at 10 a.m. with the other small exhibits. Awards will follow and the pies will be auctioned off that night after the Queen con test. Organizers have also added a dairy goat section. This will in clude both open and youth de partments. The Chester County Agri cultural Development Council has printed a 2003 Farm Market brochure that lists farm markets and stands, fanners markets, and Community Supported Agricul ture (CSA) operations in Chester County. The council is offering the free brochure to the public. Brochures will be available at the 17 librar ies in the County Library System and also certain municipal of fices. The brochure can be viewed on the Chester County Website at www.chesco.org by selecting Farm Market Directory under the Quick Index. Consumers may also call the Chester County Planning Commission at (610) 344-6285 to request a copy. The brochure lists more than 40 places to purchase farm fresh produce.
