Snider Homestead Guernsey Defends Place In Winner’s Circle HARRISBURG (Dauphin Co.) Guernsey enthusiasts brought animals from states in cluding Connecticut, Llinois, Maryland, Missouri, New York, Ohio, and South Carolina to the National Guernsey show con ducted here last Wednesday dur ing All-American week. For the second straight year, Cedar Fringed Altann, a 5-year-old cow owned by Aaron Gable of Bedford County took home grand champion honors and went on to compete for the supreme championship. Gable manages a Guernsey herd on Snider Homestead Farm, New Enterprise. Reserve champion female of the open show was an aged cow from Arrow Head Guernseys of Union, Mo. Emily Stuff of Mercersburg ex hibited the junior grand champi on while a heifer owned by Ed ward Gill and family of Ohio won the reserve.
