Soybeans are 58 to 60 cents lower in 'he past twelve hading days. Today, wheat 2 to 12 cent lower. Com 2 to 6 cents lower. Sorghum 11 to 12 cents low er. Soybeans 12 to 20 cents lower. Grain and soybean fanners have a right to feel like they have lost a big fight Country ele vator track bids many places now have corn 1.85, soft wheat 1.75, and soybeans down around 4.00 per bushel. It is time to start buying high priced seed, fertilizers and other chemicals for Spring planting. The big tractors and combines are not get ting any cheaper. Rent seems to go up every year. USDA is not painting a pretty picture down the toad. US farm export pro jections are down 15 billion and nearly 10 percent below a year ago and 20 percent under 1996. Currently most county LDPs for soft winter wheat is around 50 cents with Texas averaging 75 cents. Hard red winter wheat LDPs averaging 17 to 19 cents in most states with Oklahoma 29 cents. Many soybean producing states currently have LDPs ranging from 75 to 85 cents. Com holding up the best but with December cot ton at 58 cents, this commodity could draw a lot of acres this spring.
