Tom Zartman, Jr., Ephra ta, brought seven head of Brown Swiss to the Ephrata Fair dairy show Wednesday morning and placed first in every class. And when the dust settled on the ball diamond where the show was held at Tent City, the aged cow not only was good enough to be grand champion of the Swiss show, she became supreme champion of the total show. Judge Rick Hess, Strasburg, said the supreme champion was carry ing a beautiful udder, had dairy character, and had good legs and feet. The grand champion Holstein was shown by Denise Bollinger, Manheim. Bollinger’s grand champion 4 year-old was also the youth show grand champion, and she had the junior champion too. Linford Weaver, Ephrata, had the reserve grand champion of the Holstein open show with his aged cow. And Marisa Weaver had the Oley Fair Names Sheep Champions OLEY (Berks Co.)
