The Joseph Blank family moved from Lancaster County to Snyder Coun ty in 1974. In 1990 Joseph and his wife Grace and son Kenneth and his wife Jo Ann went Into partnership and bought the farm. Now their 135 acres has been named a Dairy of Distinction. They have 65 Registered Holstelns and young stock. The herd average Is 20,400 lbs. of milk. Once each year In April the entire fifth grade student body of the Shlkallemy School District are invited out to the farm so that all students get experience on the dairy farm and how the environment is cared for.
