Keystone (Continued from Page El 4) Adam J. Main Jr. Adam and Anna Ham’s 17-ycar-old son, Adam, has been active in his FFA chapter at Cedar Crest High School for four years. He is currently treasurer of the chapter, and last year he was chapter president and Lebanon County FFA treasurer. He has chaired committees such as the leadership, earnings and savings, window exhibit, and citrus sales. His projects include fish farming and dairy heifers. Adam was named Chapter Star Farmer in 1987, earned Chapter Farmer and County Farmer degrees, and compiled the first-place county project book and the second-place stale project book. He is interested in motorcycle riding and is a member of the Pep Club Henry Hank Henry Hank, 17, won a gold medal at the Nat ional FFA Convention for swine showmanship and another at Penn State for land judging. Henry also has earned the Grecnhand, Chapter Farmer, and Red Rose degrees. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hank of Mountvillc (Lancas ter), Henry has exhibited tobacco and com at various fairs and the Farm Show, and he has shown market hogs at the Lampeter Fair and the Farm Show. Henry has served terms as sentinel and student advisor. He enjoys hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and thrcc whccling. After high school he plans to work at an agriculture-related job. She has served her L|C chapter as chaplain and sentinel for two years. Laura has worked on the orange and cider committees and has attended the Eastern Leadership Con ference and the National FFA Convention. She has received the com yield and quality award, dairy award, and scholarship award, and has recognition for diversified crop production and feed and grain pro duction. In addition, Laura has earned the Greenhand, Chapter Farmer, and County Farmer degrees. Laura belongs to the varsity girls basketball and softball teams, National Honor Society, Norlebco 4-H Dairy Club, Mount Zion U.C.C., and the Who’s Who Among American High School Students. After graduation she plans to attend Delaware Valley College and major in agri-business. His project was in dairy goats, and he served his chapter as secretary. Marker, 19, attends Penn State while majoring in business management. The son of John and Shirley Marker, Duncansville (Blair), was chapter vice presi dent of his high school FFA chapter during 1985-87. He was active in the chapter prodecure team, recreation and executive commit tees and he attended the National FFA Convention in 1987. His vo-ag activities in beef breeding and finishing help earn him a silver medal in the Slate Farming Program Contest, awards in Wineland’s Mechanic, and county and area project book contests. His team placed first in county competition for area chapter procedure. John was a 4-H member and he enjoys motorcycles and horses. He hopes to become a representative for an agricul tural business. Eric James Harnish A four-year member of the Little Dutchman FFA chapter, Eric Harnish is the 17-year old son of Guy and Carol Harnish of Palmrya (Lebanon). He has served terms as chapter sentinel and president and county vice president. Eric’s projects include swine herd, beef finishing, field com, and soybeans, and he has won proficiency awards on swine, soybeans, beef, and diversified livestock. After graduation, he plans to work on the family swine farm and eventually hopes to own a farm. M. Abraham Harpster Abraham Harpster, 17, has won first place in the state computers in agriculture contest and first in the sales and service. He received a state gold medal m sales manship and public speaking as a gold in the Junior Dairyman contest. The son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Wayne Harpster of Spruce Creek (Huntingdon), Abraham is chapter president, has projects in seed sales, alfalfa, com, and dairy cows, and belongs to 4-H, Pennsylvania Gover nor’s School for Agriculture, chorus, and the Key, ski, and varsity clubs. Interested in skiing, tennis, basketball, and singing, Abraham intends to attend college to study agriculture. Andrew Harris The historian for the Upper Dauphin FFA chapter, Andrew Harris, 18, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Harris of Spring Glen (Dauphin). As a member, Andrew spent two years caring for laying hens and two years caring for a home garden. In addition, he gained work experience at Quaker Slate Farms and Blyler Fruit Farm. Andrew participated in dairy and land judging, Farm Show, the Mid-Winter Convention, and the refreshment com mittee. He earned the Greenhand and Chapter Farmer degrees. He enjoys building half-scale models and working on cars. In the future, he plans to become a mechanic.
