State FFA secretary Ann Lansberry was the keynote speaker. Joseph Hartman, high school principal, also gave some inspirational words to guests and members. Lisa Houser and Brian Boyer presented a slide show before awards were presented. During the awards ceremony Brenda Balmer was honored as Star Chapter Farmer and Tonya Johnson as Star Chapter Agribusinessman. The following received cer tificates of appreciation: Hershey Bare, Dean Fackler, Joseph Scharff, Pat Gingrich, and Terri YORK - The Penn State University Cooperative Extension Service is offering an Agricultural Accidents and Rescue Course at the University Park Campus. The four-day course will be held over the two weekends of April 5 to 6 and 19 to 20. Participants will receive in struction in twelve topic areas and upon passing examinations will become certified agriculture rescue technicians by the Penn sylvania Department of Health. All participants should have previous rescue and emergency care training and experience and will need a complete set of per sonal protective gear. Registration is limited to 50 people.
