Shine an nounced a February 1986 base milk price of $12.60 per hundredweight and an excess milk price of $10.98. The weighted average February price was $12.45 and the butterfat differential for the month is 16.0 cents. The base milk price was down seven cents from January and was $1.24 lower than last February. The weighted average price was down eight cents from January and was $1.32 lower than a year earlier. The gross value of February producer milk was $62.0 million, compared to $64.1 million a year ago. Mr. Shine said that producer receipts totaled 499.2 million pounds during February, an in crease of 32.6 million pounds from Kempton local sets meeting SOUTHAMPTON Kempton Local of Inter-State Milk Producers’ Cooperative District 1 will hold its annual dinner meeting April 1 at 7 p.m. at the Virginville Grange Hall, Director Penrose Hallowell announced. The guest speaker will be Dr. Paul E. Hand, Inter-State general manager. Class I producer milk totaled 232.6 million pounds and was up 4.0 million pounds or 1.7 percent from last February. Class I milk ac counted for 46.60 percent of total producer milk receipts during the month, compared with 49.00 percent in February 1985. Base milk accounted for 84.72 percent of total producer milk receipts in February compared with 90.20 percent last year. The average butterfat test of producer milk was 3.81 percent, up from 3.78 percent last February.
