John Akers, District Con servationist with the USDA Soil Conservation Service in Cham bersburg, gave a monthly report of his office’s activities. A. INC. ED In case of wet soil conditions, a rain date of June 2 will be sub stituted. This new terracing plow appears to be an effective piece of equipment for building terraces, diversions, and waterways for soil conservation at reduced cost. This implement allows farmers to build soil conservation practices using their own tractor. The terrace plow demonstration will be in operation from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The demonstrations is sponsored by the Montgomery County Conservation District and Hamilton Equipment of Ephrata.
