In case of wet soil conditions, a
rain date of June 2 will be sub
stituted. This new terracing plow
appears to be an effective piece of
equipment for building terraces,
diversions, and waterways for soil
conservation at reduced cost. This
implement allows farmers to build
soil conservation practices using
their own tractor.
The terrace plow demonstration
will be in operation from 10 a.m.
until 2 p.m. The demonstrations is
sponsored by the Montgomery
County Conservation District and
Hamilton Equipment of Ephrata.
The USDA Soil Conservation
Service (SCS) will be supervising
construction. Further information
can be obtained by calling SCS at

5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
