Last year an Agn-Kmg serviceman convinced me it would be better for my steers to put it up green. I filled one small silo first and started feeding out of it right away. The cattle ate it very good, so I treated my other three silos with Silo-King. The second silo juiced pretty bad about half way up the silo, and we couldn’t figure out why. As I fed through the winter, about halfway down that second silo my cattle went off feed; and I was very upset! At the same time I was feeding out of another silo, and the cattle were eating that silage up real well. 1 couldn't blame the cattle for not eating that silage because it had a sour, stinky smell, and was black m color Then we remembered. We put about 16 loads into that second silo that Iheastern Penna George F DeLong Regional Manager 225 West Woods Drive Lititz Pa 17543 Call Collect 717 626 0261 Eastern Lancaster Co Melvin Herr RR2 New Holland PA 17557 Phone 717 354 5977 North Western Lancaster Co Earl B Gmder RD2 Manheim PA 17515 Phoi° 7’ l 565 3126 17572 have two new teams com* petlng. We had gotten a new blower and hadn't taken time to transfer the applicator for the remainder of that day. At the time we filled, I told the Agn- Kmg serviceman that you’d never see the difference, but by the time of feeding I had forgotten all about it. I found it hard to believe, but it was half-way up the silo where we put those 16 loads of untreated silage that the juice was coming out of the silo. After feeding through those 16 loads the cattle were back on feed and did extremely well.
