“I had always put my corn silage up dry m past years. Last
year an Agn-Kmg serviceman convinced me it would be better
for my steers to put it up green. I filled one small silo first and
started feeding out of it right away. The cattle ate it very good,
so I treated my other three silos with Silo-King. The second
silo juiced pretty bad about half way up the silo, and we
couldn’t figure out why. As I fed through the winter, about
halfway down that second silo my cattle went off feed; and I
was very upset! At the same time I was feeding out of another
silo, and the cattle were eating that silage up real well. 1
couldn't blame the cattle for not eating that silage because it
had a sour, stinky smell, and was black m color Then we
remembered. We put about 16 loads into that second silo that

Seasons set on doves and
woodcock in Pennsylvania
Dates of hunting seasons
and bag limits for doves,
rails, gallinules, snipe and
woodcock for 1975 were
established this week by the
Pennsylvania Game Com*
mision.
The framework for
seasons and limits is set up
by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service in Washington
following annual surveys of
breeding populations. States
than select dates for seasons
within the federal
framework.
Pennsylvania waterfowl
seasons will not be
established until the latter
part of August. The Game
Commission cannot set
waterfowl seasons until after
the federal government
draws up its framework,
which is not completed prior
to late August.
This year the Penn
sylvania season for doves

were not treated with Silo-King. We had gotten a new blower
and hadn't taken time to transfer the applicator for the
remainder of that day. At the time we filled, I told the Agn-
Kmg serviceman that you’d never see the difference, but by
the time of feeding I had forgotten all about it.
I found it hard to believe, but it was half-way up the silo
where we put those 16 loads of untreated silage that the juice
was coming out of the silo. After feeding through those 16
loads the cattle were back on feed and did extremely well.
I’m convinced that Silo-King helps to make a better sweet
smelling, highly palatable silage We will be using Silo-King
again this year.”
