The 500 conference attendees were treated with the appearance of Penn State alumnus and Pittsburgh Steeler running back Franco Harris. Franco attended the awards banquet and presented awards to deserving students. Conference attendees were students from Temple, Pitt, Penn State Main, Shippensburg, and Bloomsburg Colleges and Universities to name a few. Through the mail we have found that Kathy Laverty, our adviser, is having a wonderful and exciting tour of Europe. We wonder where she works? Phi Beta Lambda will be hosting the Penn State Health Fair in May. This is an activity to inform the public of the health services in our area. The lecture will be held from 12:14 p.m. to 1:29 p.m. (4th period.) on Thursday, April 9, 1981, in the BCAC (W-132). Discussion-will follow the lecture and refreshments will be served. Doctor Mishal, who received his Ph. D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1975, also completed a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship and went on to serve as a lecturer in the Dept. of Political Science at Yale University between the years 1975 and 1977. Prior to that he had served in various teaching positions at the Hebrew and Bar-Ban Universities. April 16—" Interviewing Skills" This tape features Robert Chersi from IBM. Mr. Chersi is the Corporate College Relations and Recruiting Repre sentative for IBM. He offers the do's and dont's pertaining to the interview. He also covers the preparation for the interview and the follow-up procedures. The tape concludes with "actual" inter views which emphasize Mr. Chersi's main points. On the 9th and 16th, a "personnel" person will be on hand to answer specific student questions.
