They have played eight games, splitting the wins and losses evenly to bring their record to 8-6 overall. Mindy was tops again in the Pitt- Bradford game with 19, Metzgar and Schofield adding 14 apiece. Coach Ellen Johns is generally pleased with the play of her charges. After the Grove City contest her only reply was a broad smile and, "Fantastic!" Her only concern is the team's offensive consistency. In the losses to St. Vincent and Allegheny she cited the lack-luster play of the offense, while the defense was better than average. The Cubs' scoring leader, Min dy Stasenko, earned District 18 honors. Stasenko was selected as "Player of the Week," January 23 for her performance in the three previous games. She scored 54 points, shooting a hot 54 per cent from the floor as she made 21 of 39 attempts. The 5'9" junior also pulled in 17 rebounds, dished out four assists, stole the ball six times and blocked four shots. Stasenko leads the team in scor ing with 171 points in 13 games for a 13.2 scoring average. Hot on her trail is Diane Metzgar with a 12 points-per-game average, scor ing 168 points in 14 games.
