The Viet nam Traveling Wall came to Erie this past weekend and was raised at Family First Sports Park off of upper Peach Street. On Saturday, a group of cadets went rock climbing at Mc- Connell's Mill State Park. Upcoming events for cadets consist of the Annual Orientation picnic where the entire Pride of PA Battalion consisting of Behrend, Mercyhurst, and Gan non will meet for good food and camaraderie. An application is now available to any student to serve as a Co-Chair for any of the standing Committees. We also talked about the progress of the convenience store project com plete with a visual aid of the architects render ings. What we're working on: The committees have been charged with creat ing a weekly meeting time and to come up with their initiatives for the year by next week's meeting. We are also preparing for club and organization training day, which is mandatory for all club Presidents and Treasurers to attend. The first President's roundtable will be held during training day, along with Treasury Training, Org-Sync Training, and Training on how to write an SGA Budget Proposal seminars Important dates: The first SGA Budget call dead line is September 10th, all proposals must be turned in by spm at the RUB Desk. The first SAF budget call is September 7th, all proposals must be turned in by spm in Student Affairs.
