10 The Behrend Beacon SEALS UNDER #4 e • 1110 Ea! A tzto ll 41110 ,~~~ a LOCAL DINING RESTAURANT REVIEW: For many students, a Hot and-Ready from Little Caesars may seem to be almost a tradi tion by their second or third year of college. However, other options on the menu at the pizza shop classic are sure to impress customers as well. A relatively new item being offered by Little Caesars is their "jalapeno cheese bread." With a topping of spices and hot cheese melted under a flaky crust, the cheese bread was the perfect compliment to a 2-liter and a large pizza. A standard order of cheese bread generally contains between ten and twelve slices of bread, making it an ideal addition for small groups. The flavorings on the crust weren't too spicy, and the bread ended up being enjoyable by people who didn't enjoy spicy food as much. Little Caesars also boasts some of the best buffalo chick en pizza in the area. While some pizza places add too much hot sauce to the point where the pizza is dripping, Cal63E &VON. It wasn't spicy to the point where it was painful to eat, but was instead the nice middle ground between dry and soak ing. Though both of the closest locations to Behrend (one in the Giant Eagle plaza on Buffalo road, the other just off of Liberty St.) do not have din ing areas, the stores were still kept clean. The service was quick, and the staff at both locations was friendly and accommodating. Most cus tomers were only in the store for a maximum of one minute. For students who have not tried a Hot-and-Ready yet, the pizzas are $5.55 and there is always a supply stocked behind the counter. They are available in pepperoni or cheese; for Behrend students, on Tuesday they only cost $2.99 with a student ID. Each week, the Beacon will feature a local restaurant on the Local Dining page.
