The weekend festivities will include numerous sporting events and a carnival. On Saturday evening there will be “A Night on the Town”, a murder mystery dinner and comedy act with Richie Byrne. Nominated by student organizations, the Homecoming Court was announced earlier this week. Those candidates are: Megan Engel, Danielle Murphy, Joneatra Henry, Tracy Huselton, Shanna Lutti, Bethanne Reske, and Renee Meyer. Student dies in 10-story fall By ERIN HORAN Daily Collegian Staff Writer University Park A 19-year-old University student died Tuesday morning after apparently jumping from a 10th story dormitory window, University Police Services said. A student discovered Kurt Kristian Stenman's body on the sidewalk beneath an open Pinchot Hall window at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday. Police said they suspect Stenman (freshman- architecture), of 316 Atherton Hall, jumped from the window between 10 and 10:15 a.m. Police have not yet ruled his death a suicide or an accident. Director of University Police Services Tom Harmon said the window was not broken after the incident. "It looks to me like the screen is still there," Harmon said. "It's just pushed out." Centre County Coroner Kerry Benninghoff will continue the investigation and has scheduled an autopsy for today to determine the cause of death. Stenman, a 1996 graduate of South Western High School in Hanover, was in the top 5 percent of his graduating class, said Dr. Michael Clemens, the superintendent of the school district. A person close to the family said Stenman did not have a job and was not involved in any clubs at the University.
