He gave interesting and detailed instructions on the raising and care of chrysan- themums. The display may be seen October 20-25 at Union National Bank of Mt. Joy. Mrs. Margaret Heisey of the Ways and Means Committee reported that a food and bazaar table had been reserved for our society at the Farm and Home Center for Home- makers’ Day, November 13th. Items of food or crafts for the table should be left at the home of Mrs. Kathryn Erb, 255 Marietta Ave., Mt. Joy, by 8 a.m. that day, so they may be taken to Lancaster promptly. Mrs. Viola Greider of the Sunshine Committee report- ed that Mrs. Elizabeth Witmer has returned from Beth Whalley at St. Mark’s Beth Whalley, a Christian Folksinger from Ocean Grove, New Jersey, will appear in a special Sunday evening concert and sing- along on Sunday evening, November 2, 1975, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Mount Joy, Pa. The time of the concert is 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church. Accompanying Miss Whalley on the string bass is Tom Case a high school teacher from Ocean Grove. The program will be unique in that it will combine the traditional church music with the emerging contemporary music. The congregation will be asked to sing such old favorites as ‘*‘My Hope is Built,”” *“When I Survey the Wondrous Cross,” as well as Christian folk songs like “We All Can Live’ and “They'll Know We Are Christians By Our Love.” The concert is being sponsored by the Worship Commission of St. Mark's Church.
