Special thanks are due to all borough residents for their help and cooperation, proving that when the chips are down, Americans can do what has to be done. We wish to extend our thanks to: the National Guard who supplied us with six trucks and 30 men, moving resi- dents as soon as calls came to our headquarters; ‘the Red Cross, which supplied food and lodging in our elementary school, that was set up and ready within two hours notice; the Sheriff's office and men, who set up our security; the excellent communica- tions system set up within minutes; the local and neighboring fire companies and fire police; and the many, many more organizations that helped and offered help.
