Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Miller, 520 W. Market Street, Marietta, and Jay O. Risser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Risser, R.D. 2, Lancaster, were united in marriage on Saturday, September 20 at 11 a.m. The double ring ceremony was performed by Reverend Joseph G. Got- walt, Priest of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marietta. The bride was given in marriage by her father and wore a floor length white velvet gown with a princess waist decorated with flower appliques on the bodice, front of the dress and on the train. Her shoulder length veil of white net was attached to a headpiece trimmed with seed pearls and rhinestones with ribbon trimmed with matching flower appliques. She carri- ed a hanging bouquet of red sweetheart roses and white carnations. Miss Ann Smedley, Mari- etta, was maid of honor, Mrs. Cindy Yeaglin and Miss Patricia Weaver were bridesmaids. Dean Shope of Marietta was best man and ushers were Jim Yeaglin and Don Simmons, both of Marietta. She ‘is the mother of one daughter, Mrs. Jean Becton and two step-daughters, Mrs. Althea Corbin and Miss Barbara Makle of Philadelphia. Included in her family are 8 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. A daughter of the late William and Jessie Knight Rainbow, Sister Makle was born in Marietta. She at- tended the Marietta Public Schools and High School. She has been a member of Bethel AM.E. Church of Marietta for 46 years. She has served as church clerk for 30 years, and has been secretary of the Trustee Stewardess Board and is ai member of the Senior Choir.
