Weldon Gatlin, Hendersonville, Tennessee, will be the guést leader for the Fall Preaching Mission at Glossbrenner United Methodist Church, Mount Joy, September 14—17. The former Director of Family Evangelism of The United Methodist Church, Dr. Gat- lin will preach at the Sunday morning 9:30 service and on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7:30. The emphasis of the Preaching Mission will be ‘biblical evangelism focus- ed on the family’’. Convinc- ed that the disintegration of sound family relationships has much to do with the moral malaise in America, Dr. Gatlin is equally con- vinced that Jesus Christ gives direction and purpose to life and its relationships. In addition to the five preaching services, Dr. Gatlin will dialogue with the adult church school classes at 10:30 a.m. and the Youth Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on Mount Joy Ministerium The first fall meeting of the ministers of the Mount Joy area will be held on Monday morning, Septem- ber 1S, at 9:30 a.m., in the parlor of the Glossbrenner United Methodist Church. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Dr. G. Weldon Gatlin, former Director of Family Evangelism of the United Methodist Church, New pastors in the com- munity will be introduced: devotion schedules will be finalized and other matters of common concern will be discussed. A luncheon with Dr. Gatlin for the senior citizens of the congregation will be held on Monday at noon. A family carry-in supper at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, will precede the concluding preaching service.
