G. Weldon Gatlin to address
two groups in Mount Joy
Dr. G. Weldon Gatlin,
Hendersonville, Tennessee,
will be the guést leader for
the Fall Preaching Mission
at Glossbrenner United
Methodist Church, Mount
Joy, September 14—17. The
former Director of Family
Evangelism of The United
Methodist Church, Dr. Gat-
lin will preach at the Sunday
morning 9:30 service and on
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
and Wednesday evenings at
7:30.
The emphasis of the
Preaching Mission will be
‘biblical evangelism focus-
ed on the family’’. Convinc-
ed that the disintegration of
sound family relationships
has much to do with the
moral malaise in America,
Dr. Gatlin is equally con-
vinced that Jesus Christ
gives direction and purpose
to life and its relationships.
In addition to the five
preaching services, Dr.
Gatlin will dialogue with the
adult church school classes
at 10:30 a.m. and the Youth
Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on
Mount Joy Ministerium
The first fall meeting of
the ministers of the Mount
Joy area will be held on
Monday morning, Septem-
ber 1S, at 9:30 a.m., in the
parlor of the Glossbrenner
United Methodist Church.
Guest speaker will be the
Rev. Dr. G. Weldon Gatlin,
former Director of Family
Evangelism of the United
Methodist Church,
New pastors in the com-
munity will be introduced:
devotion schedules will be
finalized and other matters
of common concern will be
discussed. All pastors of the
Mount Joy area are expec-
ted.
Sunday. He will also share
with the Mount Joy Minis-
terium, Monday, 9:30 a.m.,
and with the Mount Joy
Rotary Club, Tuesday,
noon.
A luncheon with Dr.
Gatlin for the senior citizens
of the congregation will be
held on Monday at noon. A
family carry-in supper at
6:00 p.m., Wednesday, will
precede the concluding
preaching service.

Their Spnsors Invited to
Gathering

On Sunday, September
14th at S p.m. Vietnamese
people and their sponsors
are invited to a gathering at
St. Matthews Lutheran
Church, 700 Pleasure Road,
Lancaster for fellowship
with friends and country-
men. Addresses and
telephone numbers will be
exchanged.
Each person is asked to
bring a covered dish-either a
meat, salad, vegetable, or
dessert dish to serve eight
people.

of the Youth of St. Mark's
Church for the coming year

Monday evening of each
