SCHROLL Daniel A. Schroll, 84, a life-time resident of this community, died Monday evening, August 27, at 6:10 o'clock at the Lehman Nursing Home, Rheems, where he had been a guest for the past nine months. He had been ill for the past year. Schroll was the founder and owner of the News Advertiser, published for several years in this community, and for 10 years prior to his retirement in April of 1971 was advertising manager of the Red Rose Valley Farm and Home News. The son of Jacob and Maggie (Miller) Schroll, he was born in East Donegal township. He was a member of the St. Mark’s United Methodist church, the Rheems Fire company and a 50-year member of Friendship Fire company No. 1. Survivors include a son, Paul of Elizabethtown; three daughters, Margaret, wife of Christ N. Miller, R1 Elizabethtown, Jean, wife of J. Roy Eshleman, with whom he made his home, and Patricia, wife of Gerald R. Miller, Mount Joy; eight grand children, 12 great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Clara Halbeib of Camp Hill. Private funeral services were held at the Nissley funeral home and burial was made in the Mount Joy cemetery. EMILY C. KAPP Funeral services for Mrs. Emily C. Kapp, 1087 Wood street, who died Monday Aug. 20, were held Thursday afternoon, Aug. 23, from Moyer’s United Methodist church, Hershey RI, and burial was made in Good’s Mennonite cemetery, Elizabethtown R4. Her husband, Joseph Kapp, died Aug. 25, 1957. She was a member of Moyers United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Pearl C., wife of Ervin W. Miller, Hummelstown R2; Leota A., wife of Eugene R. Hess, Sr., Mount Joy; 11 grand- children; nine great- grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Kaylor, Elizabethtown, and a brother, John I.
