They were named Mat- thew Lowen and Nathan Lo- wen Wosterman, tipping the scales at a big 7 lbs, 13 oz. and 7 lbs., 10 oz, each. The family also includes two lit- tle girls, Georgianne, 7 years and Amy, 4 years. Uniquely, all six of their birthdays fall in this month of May, with Amy and the twins falling on the same day. Both mother and boys are report>d home and doing fine, with some as- sistance from Mrs. Kenneth Miller and her son Kenny * ¥ * Elmer Sentz, who formerly lived on Donegal Springs Rd. and is now residing with his son, Jacob and family in Kis- sel Hill, has just returncd from a three week visit in Arizona with his son Paul and family. He was driven to Arizona by a friend and re- turned by jet. * * Jon Holmes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Wendell Holmes, former residents of Mount Joy, was in town last week visiting in the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wolgemuth with their son Todd and Mr. and Mrs. James Phillips with their son, Steve. Jon had hitch-hiked from his home near Los Angeles, Calif. with forty pounds of camping equipment strapp'>d to his back, living for less than fifty cents a day. He was able to travel cross country with on- ly four “hops.” Todd is 17% years old and plans to travel back to Denver, Colorado, and work with the Indians of that area on their own land. Quite an adventure for a young man! = ® * Conniz Lehman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lehman, 242 North Market Avenue, spent a week end re- cently visiting in Mount Joy with her parents. Connie, a ’69 graduate of Donegal high school, has bean doing Brethren volunteer ser- vice for the past six months in a mountainous section of Kentucky. The ‘Lend-a-Hand’ program, with which she is affiliated, works with the mountaineer families, giving them many kinds of assist- ance. Connie has seen duty as a visiting nurse, a housekeeper, farm hand, babysitter, chauf- fer and teacher. She lives in a “Center” with several oth- er young people and a coun- selor, and goes out each day to “lend a hand” to the moun- tain people. Connie will conclude her service in October. * # * Mr. and Mrs. Clint Eby re- cantly returned from an en- joyable one week bus trip to the azalea festival of Charles- ton, and famous southern gar- dens. They toured many of the southern cities such as Charleston, S.C. Myrtle Bzach S. C. and Wilmington, North Carolina. The beautiful gar- dens included Middleton Gar- dens near Charleston, Broox- green Garden near George- town, South Carolina. Orton Plantation Garden near Wil- mington, N. C. and Greenfield Gardens. A highlight of their trip was the town of Neggs Head, a popular ocean front resort featuring very high sand dunes and lots of sand. trip was the town of Naggs Head is the famous place of Kitty Hawk, N. C., where the Wright Brothers flew the first airplane. They visited a small museum and house where the brothers stayed during the test flights in Dec. 1903.
