New Inspection Starts Jan. 1st THE STATE HIGHWAY PATROL WILL CONTINUE ITS DRIVE AGAINST STICKERLESS AUTO- MOBILES—CAR OWNERS TAKE NOTICE : The State Highway Patrol is con- tinuing its campaign against uninspect- ed motor vehicles and against opera- tors who cannot furnish proof of in- spection during the compulsory inspec- tion period that ended September 30, the Department of Revenue announced here. To date, 1,134 operators have been arrested by the Highway Patrol for failure to have their vehicles inspected. Inspection stickers affixed to motor vehicles by official inspection stations during the last compulsory inspection period must remain on the vehicles un- til the close of the 31, Secretary of Revenue Leon D. Metzgar explained to- day. Operators not displaying stickers on their vehicles must be able to pro- duce a certificate of inspection issued by an official inspection station and bearing the registration number of their vehicle in ink, The first compulsory inspection per- iod of 1933 starts January 1 and con- tinues for three months.
