Those which came to our no- tice are appended: Car and Truck Collide Christian Hiestand, of Lobata, while driving an automobile in town Monday afternoon collided with an automobile truck owned by a Mount Joy resident. Both persons escaped injury but the two cars were badly damaged. Steering Rod Broke Mr. William Bailey, who is em- ployed at Ream’s garage met with an unavoidable accident at the inter- section at Main and Lumber streets Monday forenoon. Just as he rounded the corner the steering rod broke and the car ran on the side- walk. No one was injured and there was no further damage. Mashed Rear Wheel Saturday evening a man came in North Barbara street at a rather lively clip. He was going so fast that he had to make a wide turn at Main and as a result banged into another car and mashed his own rear wheel which was the extent of the damage. Barr, Elizabethtown, and Miss Rebecca McKonly, Mountville, was solemn- ized Tuesday evening at the home of the bride at Mountville. The cere- mony was performed by the Rev. J. G. Myer, Elizabethtown College, in the presence of about thirty guests. A reception followed the ceremony. Both the bride and bride groom are students at Elizabethtown College. Kaegel, the retired miller, of East Donegal, passed his sixty- seventh birthday anniversary enjoy- ing the best of health, Mr. Kaegel was engaged in that business since 1872, and when he began working received only $6.00 a month. At that time he thought it was “big money.” He learned his trade with John Moore, near Salunga.
