November 19, 1980 Chiques AAA volleyball play The Smashers of the Chiques A.A.A. Co-Ed Vol- leyball League have moved into first place in the last three weeks. On October 19 the Smashers swept the Spikers 15-8, 15-9 and 15-10. The Raiders took three games from the Trojans, 15-12, 16-14 and 15-9. November 2 results saw the Trojans defeat the Spikers in all three games, 15-4, 15-S and 15-7, and the Smashers win two against the Raiders, 14-16, 15-6 and 15-11. On November 9 the Raiders beat the Spikers 15-11, 10-15 and 17-15. The Smashers took the Trojans 15-8, 3-15 and 15-10. Legion prepares gifts The Maytown American Legion Auxiliary Unit #809 met at the home of Mrs. Sara Armold recently. A committee made up of Mrs. Alice Leas, Mrs. Miriam Stark and Mrs. Harriet Smith will deliver fruit baskets to 17 shut-ins in the Maytown-Marietta area on November 25. Christmas checks will be mailed to servicemen from the Maytown area, it was announced.
