Robert is the son of Bob and Mary McEvoy, 137 North Market Street, Mount Joy. He is a sixth grade student at Seiler. Robert, who is crossing guard at the corner of S. Market and Delta Streets, feels he is a good and conscientious guard. - “I always stay at my post until the last kid has crossed,’’ he said. He has a younger sister, Michelle, and enjoys math and reading in school. Welcome Wagon Club of Mount Joy to meet The Mount Joy Welcome Wagon Club is planning a used book sale for the spring, with two book solicitations to take place, the first one running from November 17 to the 22. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Mount Joy community. Donations of all types of books will be accepted, including text books, cook books, paper backs, craft books, novels, National Geographic magazines, etc. Drop off boxes will be placed in all Mount Joy banks and at the library during the week of Novem- ber 17. : Anyone needing assis- tance with a large collection of books can obtain pick-up service by calling Sharon Roberts, 653-1023, or Dawn Flaharty, 653-1704. The Welcome Wagon thanks all for donations in advance. The November general meeting of the Welcome Wagon Club will be held Wednesday, November 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Joy. The evening will begin with a covered dish dinner at 6:30 pm, and conclude with a Chinese auction. Winners of the wine raffle will be announced at the meeting. Tickets are avail- able through November 19 from any club member or by contacting Ann Bernard at 653-4248. The Club’s Board of Directors met November $ at the home of Janice MacVaugh. Two new members, Sarah Bernot and Cindy Flowers, were welcomed to the October meeting. It was announced that the Ways and Means committee will sell hot chocolate and cookies to anxious children awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus in Mount Joy. Santa will arrive December S, and the group will sell the chocolate and cookies at the lobby of the theatre building adjacent to Den’s Pizza, East Main Street. The craft group will learn to make corn husk wreaths on November 20 at the home of Cathy Flowers. The ‘‘Lunch Bunch’’ will meet November 25, 12:30 pm, at TJ’s Town Tavern, Main Street, Mount Joy.
