Esther Shirk October 22, 1980 Esther Shirk surprised with birthday party A surprise birthday party was held September 28 for Esther Shirk at the home of her daughter and son-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johns, Maytown. Mrs. Shirk was presented with a money tree, a book made up entirely of dollar bills, a bouquet of carna- tions (colored to match the birth stones of her eight children) and a cake dec- orated with icing shaped into spools of thread to denote her 34 years of employment at Donegal Industries, Mount Joy.
