Page 12—SUSQUEHANNA TIMES Related Arts Day in Elementary Schools The Donegal School Dis- trict Elementary Schools each took part in a Related Arts Day last week. Each school spent one day (Tuesday through Friday) taking part in events related to arts and skills. The students visited four differ- ent ‘‘classes’’ in the morn- ing and enjoyed an all school activity in the afternoon. The day’s presentations and activities were planned by Mrs. Cheryl Wise, director of Elementary Art for the school district. Those contributing their knowledge and skills to the event were: Thomas Wise, painting and lithography; Nelda Bair, opera; Whitey Hayman, shadow boxing; Ben Zettlemoyer, tin smith; Sharon Zimmerman, folk singing; Joe Zimmerman and his dog Hilda, dog showmanship; Vicki Jean Hutto, dance; Ann Spang- ler, weaving; Lynn Morrow, candle making; Lilkette Eckemove, sculpture; Linda Fagan, yoga; Nancy Landis, sign language; David Stab- ley, pottery; and Kenneth Hartman, stone cutting and polishing. The afternoon programs included a movie on balloon- ing, and presentations by the Millersville Folk Danc- ers, the Donegal Drama Club and the Manheim Elementary String En- semble.
