Seiler School presents music on April 15th Seiler Elementary School, Mount Joy, will present its Spring Music program “Through the Year in Song’’ April 15 at 7:30 pm. The all-school program will feature each grade in song and dance for all the months of the year. Kindergarten, first and second grades will appear with the summer months. Third and fourth grades will take the audi- ence through Autumn to the Christams season. Fifth and sixth grades will finish with the winter months and springtime. The program is under the direction of Miss Sharon Zimmerman. All are welcome to come and share this evening of free music to be presented in the W.I. Beahm Junior High School Auditorium. Patricia Eicherly Patricia Eicherly and Virginia Horst to attend “Women in Gov’t’’ lunch Mrs. Ben Horst Jr., and Mrs. Eugene Eicherly, members of the Mount Joy Business and Professional Women’s Club will attend the ‘““Women In Govern- ment’’ luncheon, to be held Saturday, April 12, at The Embers, Carlisle. The event is to honor those women who have been elected or appointed to a policy making post on the local, county, state or national level of government. Patricia Eicherly was employed by the Donegal School District from 1954- 1963 as the secretary to the Supervising Principal and the School Board secretary. She is presently working at Hamilton Bank, Mount Joy Branch as a part time teller. She is a charter member of the Mount Joy Business and Professional Women’s Club and a past president; past president of the Lancaster County Associa- tion of Educational Secre- taries; and Business and Professional District VII corresponding secretary; an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church; a charter member and past president of the Mount Joy Joycee- ettes. Her position in government is as a member of the Donegal School Board to which she was appointed to complete the unexpired term of Tom Meckley in Donegal Girl Scouts will have new troop The spring flowers are just beginning to bloom, but Penn Laurel Girl Scout Council is looking ahead to the fall colors. Mount Joy, which is part of the Donegal Neighbor- hood, continues to grow with Nancy Kopf as neigh- borhood chairman. Along with a mew Junior troop and Cadette troop, there will be a Brownie troop for first graders. The goal of this new troop will be to meet the special needs of the first grade girl as she enters the world of Girl Scouts. The work of the Girl Scouts can be accomplished only when there is help from volunteers. Your help is needed as a troop leader, an assistant leader, or, at Donegal Day Camp in August. The local schools have registration flyers, or call Martha Bixler, troop organizer, at 653-1955, to register or volunteer your help. Look for the Girl Scout displays at the Seiler and Grandview school carnivals. 1978 and was elected to the board in 1979. Patricia is the wife of Eugene Eicherly and they have one daughter, Ann L. Virginia Horst, graduated from Columbia High School, class of '4S and is employed as a staff writer for the Lancaster New Era. The mother of five children, she attends Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Joy, where she is past president of the Lutheran Church Women. April 9, 1980 Virginia Horst ““Ginny’’ is past chairperson of the Lancaster District of Lutheran Church Women and currently serves as a board member of the Central Pennsylvania Synod of Lutheran Church Women. She is also a Lutheran Church women circle leader. Virginia is a past president of the Mount Joy BPW. Virginia was appointed to the Mount Joy Boro Council as its first woman member for a complete term.
