Sunday, February 10, in recognition of Human Rela- tions Day, Hempfield Unit- ed Methodist Church is emphasizing the opportun- ities in which the public can assist the elderly in our community. During the morning worship service at 9:15 pm, the speaker will be the Rev. Robert Ketchem, Director of Christian Social Ministry of the Lancaster County Council of Churches. The evening service at 7:00 p.m. will be an awareness program from the Office of Aging. The church is located at the corner of Marietta Avenue and Oyster Point in Lancaster. Everyone is wel- come. to attend both serv- ices. If transportation is desired, please make the arrangements by contacting the church office at 285-5156 at St. Mark’s Church St. Mark’s United Meth- odist Church, Mount Joy, will observe Human Re- lations Day, Sunday, Feb- bruary 10, 1980. Mr. Patrick Kenney, Jr. of Marietta will be the speaker at the morning worship service to be held at 10:15 am. Mr. Kenney is presently employed as the First Executive Director of Lancaster City-County Hu- man Relations Committee. Mr. Kenney was born and raised in Lancaster County and is a highly respected member of the local com- munity. He has been active in the Marietta Jaycees and has held offices in the PA Jaycees. He is involved with Marietta community pro- jects and local government activities, and he has served on many committees and boards in the state and Lancaster City. Mr. Kenney has received many awards and honors for his work, and he has the distinction of being the first black Lion’s Club president in the United States. He thoroughly under- stands the psychology of the people he deals with. A film, The Eye of the Storm, will be shown in the Ladies Aux sells donuts The Ladies Aux. of the Friendship Fire Co. #1 will sponsor a donut sale on Feb. 19.
