John Lutz Family honored by Local Fire and Ambulance Crews Over 200 fire and am- bulance crewmen honored John Lutz and his family this past Friday night. A dinner was held at the Rheems Fire Hall. Attending the dinner were crews from Mount Joy, Florin, Bainbridge, May- town, Rheems, Elizabeth- Welcome Wagon gives Xmas party for kids by Ann Bernard On December 8th at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Santa Claus surprised 66 children at the annual . Welcome Wagon Children’s i Christmas Party. The kids , enjoyed two films, followed |by lunch. Then Santa appeared and talked with all the boys and girls. He had gifts for all of them. Doris Landers, chairman, certain- ly made the day a merry one for all who were there. The adults will be making merry on Dec, 15th at the Treadway Inn. Dinner will be at 7 PM, followed by dancing in the lounge. Basketball program for elementary pupils The Donegal Elementary basketball program will begin this Saturday, Decem- ber 1S, at 12:00 in the high school gym. Any interested fourth, fifth or sixth grade boy in the Donegal School District is invited to partici- pate. The program will consist of instruction in the funda- mentals of the game, as well as the actual playing of games. It will run every Saturday through February. town and Columbia. In addition, the firemen also presented the family with a plague thanking them for their service. The Maytown crews gave the family a special plague, also. The Maytown Fire Chief Charles Shaffner told us that ‘‘the Lutz family has done so much for us, this is just a small token of our apprecia- tion.
