Karissa Markley Guard of the month Karissa Markley, a sixth grade student at Seiler, has been named ‘‘guard of the month’’ at that school. Karissa is a crossing guard at the corner of South Barbara and New streets. The daughter of Olive McNece and James R. Markley, Karissa says that she likes helping the younger children in crossing the street. ‘with music too. Karissa’s favorite sub- jects are music, art and gym. “‘I like all the special things,’ she says. Karissa says she would like to be a lawyer or a ‘detective when she grows up—*‘ ‘something exciting. I would like to do something I like to sing.”’ Karissa is eleven old. years Bev Swanson is modeling her outfit for the upcoming Joycee-ette fashion show. The petite ensemble of grey and rust is complimented by the perky bow of the rust blouse. The fashion show will be held November 14, at 7:30 pm, at the Mount Joy American Legion. The outfit is from Grace Blough Appare! in Elizabethtown. Maytwon Elementary holds annual Halloween party and town parade The Maytown Elementary School held their annual Halloween party and parade through Maytown on Wed- nesday, Oct. 31st.
