A special presentation for the area’s senior citizens will be played on Thursday, March 1st, at 1:00 PM. The cast of ‘You Can’t Take It With You”’ The play takes place in the home of Martin Vanderhof. It’s about one family’s philosophy of life (which is rather comical) and the conflicts which they encounter when their daughter decides to marry Tony Kirby, the vice president of Kirby and Co., who comes from a socially self-concious family. The leading roles in- clude: Grandpa (played by Phil Landis), Penny (Jaylee Kennedy), Alice (Julie Endslow), and Tony Kirby (Fred Rigler). Other actors in the cast are Beth Prowell, Tim Keller, Steve Meszaros, Jennifer Pietch, Mitch Mummau, Jeff Baker, Dorothy Coddington, Rick Pardoe, Phil Thome, Leonard Mummau, Tracey McCoy, Dennis Leto, Deb Torres, Don Armold, and Bill Gutshall. Stage managers are Tracee Gotwalt and Mary Jane Gordoner. Ted Hershey and Dodie Pettit of the Princeton Ballet Ted Hershey will dance here this weekend This Sunday, March 4th, the Princeton Ballet, of Princeton, NJ, will perform at the DHS auditorium, sponsored by People Unit- ed for the Arts. Among the dancers will be Ted Hershey, a Mount Joy native and Donegal graduate. Ted, now under a resident professional contract with the Princeton Ballet, is the son of Mrs. Amos Hershey, the presi- dent of People United for the Arts. PUFA was organized in 1977 to support and encourage DHS students in music, art, theater and dance, and to promote general interest in the arts. The program will include diverse works. Ted Hershey will dance the pas de deux from ‘‘Flower Festival at Genzano,’”’ choreographed by Bourno- ville to music by Halstead. His partner will be Dodie Pettit, a leading soloist with the Princeton Ballet for the past several years. George Balanchine's ‘Valse Fantasie,”” a clas- sical ballet for six dancers with music by Glinka, will feature Maxine Lampert, who has been a soloist with the Milwaukee Ballet as well as the Princeton Ballet. A dramatic ballet, ‘“‘Le Combat,”’ is based on a poem about love and war during the Crusades. Lead- ing roles will be danced by Karen Russo (as a pagan warrior) and Jose Mateo (as a Christian Crusader). That is the second highest number on record. The most deer were run over in 1975, when 29,914 were removed from the roads by the Game Commission. More deer are killed by vehicles in Pennsylvania than are killed by hunters in 35S other states, accord- ing to these figures, which are lower than the real total—some deer hits are not reported. The county with the most deer killed was, appropri- ately enough, Bucks county with 1,296. 2,544 deer were killed by dogs last year. People United and Artura will lead the grand pas from ‘‘Don Quixote Divertissments,”’ staged by Jane Miller Gifford, associate director of the Princeton Ballet, to music by Minkus. The critically-acclaimed Princeton Ballet was re- cently named a ‘‘major company’ by the National Association for Regional Ballet, making it one of the For (he Aris top eight regional dance companies from a group of 118 in the U.S. and Canada.
