Reapsome, Pastor Bishop Stevenson confirms 16 at St. John’s Episcopal Church Diocesan Bishop Dean Theodore Stevenson made his annual visit to St. John’s Episcopal Church last Sunday. He conferred the sacrament of confirma- tion on Ralph Albert, Lori Barton, Pamela Barton, Audrey Bowles, Diane Bowles, James Floyd, David Fox, Jr., Timothy Hoffmaster, Michael Lowman, Donna Marley, Donna Mauss, Sherri Mauss, Vincent Mauss, Jeffrey Moore, Diana Stotz and Sandra Warren. Immediately afterward, the bishop celebrated the Holy Eucharist, assisted by the Rector of the parish, the Rev. Aristede Red, and by Robert Long. Terry Shope was the bishop’s chaplain. William Penwell was crucifer and Robert Nein acolyte. Linda Anderson and Jennifer Eno were the torch bearers. Mrs. Terrence Shope was the organist and choir director. The women of the parish held a reception in the Parish Hall to welcome the bishop and to honor the newly baptised and con- firmed church members. The bishop took advan- tage of the occasion to visit Mrs. Minnie Yeaple, Albert Reinhold, and Bessie Miley where they reside, as they were unable to attend at the church. At each home Bishop Stevenson gave a blessing and chatted. The bishop has more than 80 parishes, spread over central Pennsylvania. Fe F wit! 62.
