Dougherty, a hairdresser who is working toward a doctoral degree in psychology, will be the guest speaker at the January session of the Mount Joy Business and Professional Women’s Club on the 22nd at 6:30 PM. Mrs. Dougherty will speak on the subject, “You're Worth Knowing.” Her talk will deal with personal problems, con- flicts, and achieving per- sonal goals. Dougherty, who plans on a career in criminal psy- chology, has attended var- ious workshops and has a certificate of achievement in “active listening.”’ She was a telephone counsellor for two and a half years. In addition, she has done work, on her own, with runaways and the deaf. She has written articles, won speaking awards, and has trained animals using be- havioral techniques. January 17, 1979 ABWA meets The Mount Joy Charter Chapter of the ABWA (American Business Wo- mens Association) held its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, December 26, 1978, at the Lincoln Restaurant, East Main Street, Mount Joy. Vocational speaker for the evening was Deb Topper who is employed by the Armstrong Cork Com- pany. Vickie Landis reported concerning the upcoming spring fashion show which will be held at the March dinner meeting on March 27th.
