The rally will start at 7:30. Merle Good, the famous local Mennonite writer and film maker, will be the featured speaker. The choirs of the three churches will sing together. The pastors of the three congregations (the Revs. Dale Engle, Robert Ketter- ing, and Nathan Showalter) along with Lamar Dourte, music director at the Cross Roads church, will sing as a quartet. The Keystone Institute will hold classes on the Bible and these topics: ‘‘Male and Female in the Image of God;’’ ‘‘Friend- ship Evangelism;’’ ‘‘Hand- ling Emotions in Family Relationships;’’ and ‘‘Crea- tivity in the Congregation.’’ Classes will be held between January 22nd and - 26th. Mount Joy Welcome Wagon Club plans activities for the coming year The Mount Joy Welcome Wagon is starting the new year with fond memories of a successful service fund raising, fash- ion show-card party, Christmas party, caroling, and much more. During 1978 our Welcome Wagon hostesses welcomed 194 newcomers, 129 new babies and congratulated 25 new ly engaged girls in the Mount Joy area for a total of 348 visits on behalf of community the club’s sponsors. The club is planning numerous socials and pro- jects for the coming months, including a draw- ing for a $50.00 Watt and Shand gift certificate. Welcome Wagon members will be selling tickets costing $1.00 each for the drawing which will be held March 21, 1979. You need not be present to win and all proceeds will benefit community service projects. The monthly dinner meeting will be held January 17th at the Mount Joy Legion at 6:30 P.M.
