We embroidered with thread and liquid embroid- ery on squares to make a baby quilt for Needlework Guild. It was a real thrill to see the finished product on display at the Tea the Ladies of the Guild held for all the Girl Scouts. Skating was next on our agenda under the heading of “‘Fun.” We were invited by Junior Troop #35 to go to Mount Gretna with all the troops in Mount Joy. Then came our Hallo- ween party. The setting was a ‘‘graveyard.”’ We had a visit from Dr. Hallo- ween who brough a body along for us to examine while we were blindfolded. How we screamed! Much to our surprise the body turned out to be our leader, Mrs. Marley. We got down to the business of making gifts for our families. The gifts were displayed at our Court of Awards on December 13. Our greatest joy of all was the first visit to the Masonic Homes to visit our new ‘‘Grandparents.’’ We made fruit baskets for them and we began to learn a little about each other. This will be a monthly visit for the rest of the scout year. The annual Court of Awards and Christmas party was enjoyed by parents and girls alike. The following girls received The Sign of the Arrow: Betsy Marley, Wendy Gantz, Kathy Henly, Jackie Wea- land, Deb Yingst, and Roberta Dissinger. Lisa Ruhl, Elizabeth Edwards, Shari Eshleman and Carris ourglivch received The Sign of the Star. Monday, December 20, our troop invited other troops to join us to go Christmas caroling through Mount Joy. We will leave Glossbrenner United Meth- odist Church at 6:30 p.m. and head toward the down- town area. The following girls and adults make up Troop #331: Mrs. Sharon Marley, Mrs. Becky Heller, Miss Nancy Ettaro, Betsy Marley, Wendy Gantz, Kathy Henly Deb Yingst, Jackie Wea- land, Robert Dissinger, Shari Eshleman, Lisa Ruhl, Elizabeth Edwards, Carris Yourglivch, Diane Rusnock, Carol Stonesifer, Leah As- ton, and Tammy Stoe.
