The 1.U. 13 Joint Author- ity idea was discussed. The 1.U. 13 joint insur- ance program asked the board to indicate its inter- est in either (1) group self insurance, (2) self insur- ance by Donegal alone, or (3) buying health insurance as is now done. They discussed the matter and decided on number 3. The Heidler Roofing Co., whose roof repairs at Donegal High School are still leaking, had its insur- ance company investigate. They informed the board that Heidler was not at fault. The board discussed having an attorney look into the matter. The next meeting of the discipline committee, head- ed by Jere Duke, will _be held on February 27th. A report is expected in March. The board received an estimate on resurfacing the high school track and converting its markings from feet to meters. It will cost $15,000, about half of that for metrification. Some board members felt the price for remarking in meters was too high. The matter was sent to committee for study. Seven high school win- dows were broken on November 20th. The high school tennis courts are still unlit at night. Mr. Hallgren hopes a sponsor will pay for the electricity to run the now idle court lights. Two requests for tax exoneration were turned down. One was from a college student, the other had no explanation.
