NISSLEY Funeral Director East Main Street MOUNT JOY, PA Phone 653-1151 UNION NATIONAL MOUNT JOY BANK Mount Joy-Maytown Drive In, Walk Up Windows at Both Offices Open Saturday 8.11 a.m. Night of music The Music and Worship Commission, of the Florin Church of the Brethren, 815 Bruce Avenue, Mount Joy, is sponsoring a Nite of Music on Sunday, May 14, at 7:00PM. A Multimedia presenta- tion ‘‘Gift of Love” originated at Juniata Col- lege as an independent study for college credit, but it has developed into a professional production. Tim Eshelman, the en- gineer of the group, has done all the photography and will be using three projectors to achieve full effect. He has also de- veloped the dynamic stereo sound system. Esther Yu, the musician, has composed many of the songs especially for this presentation. Wendy Chamberlain, the writer, composed the lyrics for the music and edited the script. “Gift of Love’’ considers three types of love — dating and married love, family love, and God's love. The question which is asked is, ‘‘Are these three types of love separate from one another, or do they indeed have a common factor?’’ As one views the beauty of the film and listens to the inspiring music and dramatic read- ings, the answer becomes increasingly clear. Do plan to attend and invite your friends to a worthwhile and enjoyable evening. The offering of the evening will be used for the church’s Organ Fund. West Greentree The West Greentree Church of the Brethren, R.D.#2, Mount Joy, Rev. Glenn Goshorn, Pastor, invites the general public to attend a special service on Mother’s Day, May 14, at 7:30PM. Mr. and Mrs. John Gibbel from Lititz Church of the Brethren, will be the speakers. Mr. Gibbel is an attorney in Lancaster and Mrs. Gibbel is a home maker, wife and mother. Together they conduct seminars, bible studies and teach in various areas on spiritual growth.” They experience a deep and meaningful walk with the Lord. The church Senior Choir will sing ‘‘His Grace is Sufficient For Me.” The ‘‘New Jerusalem Carpenter’s Company”, from Lititz, will also present music. The evening will be an inspiration to the whole family. All are welcome. Love and Kindess The senior choir of the Congregational Bible Church of Marietta will perform John Petersen’s Love and Kindness on Sunday, May 21st, at 7:00 PM. The music is a call to worship as well as an invi- tation to share with each other feelings about the Savior and the implications of his redemptive work for mankind. Soloists for the evening will be: Judy Miller, Lancaster; Mrs. Ray Ober- holtzer, Lancaster; Mrs. Ralph Gerber, Manheim; and Robert Hiestand, May- town. The choir is directed by Robert Hiestand. Confirmations en young people will be confirmed on Pentecost (May 14) at Glossbrenner Church in Mount Joy. They are Robin Bricker, Jessica Eidemiller, Kelly Eidemil- ler, David Gebhart, Todd Marshall, Karen Mummaw, Garilee Reinert, Pam Sheetz, Tracy Underkoffer, and Robin Wittel.
